    DATS to modify U.S. Army DHC-7 Special Mission Aircraft

    Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to modify a U.S. Army DHC-7 Special Mission aircraft. This major modification program will include the incorporation of an antenna array mounted to a large structural platform on the lower fuselage of the DHC-7 aircraft. DATS shall undertake the design, engineering, flight testing, certification, kit build and installation for this major special mission modification program.

    DATS announces a new contract with Canadian North

    Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Air, is pleased to announce a new, five year contract with Canadian North for Boeing 737 component support and maintenance services. Under this contract, DATS will provide turnkey repair and overhaul services for over a thousand different Boeing 737-200 and -300 components and will provide logistics specialists who will be stationed on site within the Canadian North main operating bases and within DATS’ own facility for 24/7 coverage.

    Inspection of Top Aces’ Alpha Jet 104 completed at the DATS Quebec City facility 

    On May 8th, an inspection of Top Aces Alpha Jet 104 was completed at the DATS Quebec City facility before James “Preston” Manning flew it back to Bagotville on a test flight. Alpha Jet 104 is pictured here in front of our Quebec City facility. DATS is pleased to partner with Top Aces to ensure that our Alpha Jet trainers continue to meet the highest safety standards and remain in top airworthy condition.  DATS’ approved technicians have recently expanded their capabilities by completing their “Depot Level Check” training on the Alpha Jets and DATS looks forward to performing three more of these major checks on Alpha Jets in YQB between September and December 2012.

    Discovery Air Technical Services announces three new contracts

    Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Air, is pleased to announce three new contracts. The first is an agreement with Peninsula Airways from Alaska for the maintenance of their SAAB340 aircraft. The other two contracts are with PASCAN Express and Air Guyane Express for the heavy maintenance of ATR aircraft, a service recently launched by the DATS Team.

    Discovery Air Technical Services Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., is pleased to announce that it has received new orders for heavy maintenance of 22 ERJ 135/145 regional jets.  DATS is also pleased to announce the opening of its Toronto office in Mississauga near the Lester B. Pearson International Airport.

    Discovery Air Technical Services Inc. announces multi-year contract with Air Creebec Inc. for Dash-8 fleet maintenance

    Discovery Air Technical Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., is pleased to announce it has signed a Dash 8 fleet maintenance agreement with Air Creebec. Marty Boisvert, Director of Maintenance for Air Creebec said: “We are pleased to return to Quebec City for the maintenance of our aircraft.  The extensive experience of DATS technicians is second to none in the industry.  We look forward to introducing our first aircraft in Quebec in the coming month.”

Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS) is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO 23-10)  with a wide range of capabilities. We are authorized to perform maintenance and modifications on all U.S. registered aircraft as listed in the U.S./Canada bilateral agreement (Ref. CFR 43.17) and under EASA 145 (European Aviation Safety Agency). DATS is located in a modern facility directly at the Jean-Lesage International Airport in Quebec City, Canada.  Our dedicated and loyal technicians have a long history of completing hundreds of heavy checks on various regional aircraft models. DATS is part of the Discovery Air family, which has a wealth of technical expertise in its subsidiaries, ranging from Fixed-wing to Rotary-wing for both Civil and Military products.
